Professional attire is however a delicate subject. You have to toe a thin line however between appearing classy and appearing campy. Although you have to ensure that you look discreet, sophisticated and classy, you must also avoid looking as if you are preparing for a ramp show. . The office is after all a professional arena.
Although you can look stylish, and well dressed, you should avoid looking uber glamorous or sensual as after all you are not attending a summer party or dinner date. Make steel grey, black, powder blue suits a part of wardrobe, ladies can include pencil skirts as part of wardrobe. Skirt has to be knee length and not shorter. Mentorship : Finding a mentor – a senior who can guide the intern through the confusing world of project deadlines, office politics, etc. Your mentor will be the guiding light and educate you in everything from industry buzzwords to office culture, how to manage your manager, how to perfect your trade, etc.
