Language Lab Brainware – Making Our Graduates Masters in Communication

What’s in a language? It’s the medium through which we communicate emotions, ideas, opinions etc. So no matter who you are, where you stay and what you do, being proficient in language is very important. In most countries, English is the most common language of communication. So a basic proficiency in communication in English  is mandatory if one wants to succeed in the professional world where most of the conversations are usually held in English.

Unfortunately in India, most Indian engineers though proficient when it comes to technical matters, seems to fail miserably when it comes to communication skills in English. According to a research carried out by Aspiring Minds titled ‘’ The National Spoken Skills of Engineers Report’’ ( based on survey and interview of more than 30,000 engineers ) a majority of engineers were unable to communicate effectively in English, leading them to being denied from well paying jobs.

The work of an engineer is no longer an isolated affair with just his tools. Nowadays he has to work with teammates, communicate effectively with them, with juniors and with senior management. These conversations especially official interactions are mostly held in English. Many talented engineers with great technical aptitude suffer because of this.

Keeping in mind, to get rid of any obstacles fresh graduates might face in landing the first job due to less or lack of communication skills, Brainware Engineering College has a fully equipped state of the art language lab run by a team of soft skill trainers who teach students how to read, write and converse in English without any error of pronunciation and accent. The students thus able to converse and communicate in English fluently and flawlessly.
