But there are certain things that you need to know before you embark on a journey:
Be careful with your luggage and cash. On an average, at least one bag on every flight is lost or delayed. So pack all your essentials in your carry-on. Also keep accounts of the number of bags accompanying you and your family or friends, who ever are out with you. Also be careful about your cash. Keep extras stashed in some hidden places so that you can access them in times of emergency.


While you will have a few activities on your mind, do not over plan. Just go with the flow and live the moment! It will lead to some great experiences that will never fail to surprise you. Also say ‘Yes’- to explore a new place or try something new. The unexpected experiences on a trip are simply mind blowing!

Always look around and explore. Observe the local life. Feel the city, town, or village by watching local human interaction, listening to the sounds, and taking in the smells.
Interact with the local people and learn from them. You can gain a much deeper appreciation for the places that you are traveling by learning about the lives of the people who grew up there.



Always keep an open mind and break out of your comfort zones. Don’t judge. Rather embrace the opportunities that they present. It can be fun to live a different way and discover the unknown aspects about yourself.



Photos are the ultimate souvenir. They are fond memories and remain forever. So take lots of photos. Just like you enjoy local company, savor the local food as well.
Always carry a first aid kit comprising necessary ointments, a Dettol bottle, and band aids. These are things that will definitely help you when you are on a trip and may be hard to find depending on where you travel. Also carry a hand sanitizer and some cotton rolls.


Take notes of all that you get to experience. Write down the names of people you meet, conversations you have, dialects you’ve heard, and feelings you experience, spots and scenes that you have come across. It is a great way to relive your travels. These words on your notepads will be there forever. You will never be able to erase these detail even years later.
Never give up travelling. Travel more and more. Stop waiting and go do it now! If you find yourself making excuses for why you don’t travel then consider starting small with a trip to a different state or a nearby country. There are so many different things to experience in the world, so go explore some of it now. You’ll never be fatigued, trust me!
